Tubas Red Sand
Conceptually the Omahola project comprises a processing plant located close to the Ongolo Alaskite deposit treating a blend of primary ore from the Ongolo and MS7 Alaskite deposits and the INCA uraniferous magnetite deposit.
The Omahola Project’s Resource base, the majority of which will be mineable by open pit methods, totals 48.7 Mt at an average grade of 420 ppm U3O8 for 45.1 Mlbs U3O8. RC and diamond drilling targetting increased resources at both MS7 and Ongolo was ongoing through 2012 highlighting both extensive high grade intercepts and new discoveries.
Ongolo and MS7 Alaskite deposits
The Ongolo and MS7 Alaskite deposits are seen as the main source of ore for the planned Omahola Project Processing Plant, which conceptually comprises a plant located close to the Ongolo deposit treating a blend of primary ore from the Ongolo and MS7 deposits and the INCA uraniferous magnetite deposit.
In January 2012, Coffey Mining Pty Ltd (Perth) (Coffey) provided the Company with an updated JORC Mineral Resource estimate for INCA deposit totalling 12.4 Mt at 490 ppm U3O8 for 13.4 Mlbs U3O8 at a 250 ppm cut-off.
Tubas Sand Project
The Tubas Sand Project consists primarily of low grade secondary uranium mineralisation (carnotite) in well-sorted aeolian (windblown) sand which occurs immediately south of the Tubas palaeochannel located on Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 3496. EPL3496 is held by Reptile Uranium Namibia Pty Ltd (RUN), Deep Yellow’s wholly owned Namibian operating entity.
Nova Energy JV
In May 2009 Toro Energy Ltd (Toro) and DYL announced that they had entered into a JV whereby DYL, through its wholly-owned subsidiary RUN, would be entitled to earn a 65% share in three EPLs held by Toro’s Namibian subsidiary, Nova Energy (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd (Nova), by spending A$3.5 million over 2½ years.
Shiyela iron deposits
Deep Yellow’s wholly-owned Namibian subsidiary, Reptile Uranium Namibia (RUN), discovered the Shiyela iron deposits in 2008 when an IOCGU target hole made a 340 metre magnetite rich intercept from surface.
In addition to its flagship Omahola Project, the Tubas Sand Project and the Shiyela Iron Project, RUN’s EPLs also contain palaeochannel deposits within an extensive, highly prospective palaeochannel system developed over some 80 kilometres.
DYL is currently engaged in the process of divestment of its Australian assets in order to focus on the highly prospective uranium assets in Namibia. Notwithstanding this fact, DYL will be conducting limited work through to December 2012 in order to retain the Queensland and Northern Territory tenements in good standing until the conclusion of a divestment transaction.
